Headspace

2018 - 2025

When we were originally brought on in 2018 as a production partner to Headspace, we never imagined the volume and impact our partnership would generate over X years.

From in-app experiences, to social, to digital out-of-home campaigns, to their wildly popular youtube channel, our work has touched every corner of the Headspace universe.

Partnership2D AnimationMotion Identity

Simple shapes. iconic animations. Deep feelings.

Can a triangle be frustrated? Can a circle be happy?

Working with Headspace’s brand in may ways is an animator’s dream. Their brand requires distilling animation’s core principles down to their most simplistic forms. There is nowhere to hide behind flashy FX and blinding filters. It’s just about the pure magic of making something inanimate come to life through small but purposeful movements.

The best videos weren’t about making a giant statement. They were about how you could focus more and more deeply on the smallest detail to bring authenticity to a moment.

This level of craft and commitment by Meister continually helped redefine the bar of what animation brand standards looked like within Headspace.

MEDITATION LOOPS

You’ve likely seen our work at the end of the weekend when you find yourself with a case of the ‘Sunday Scaries’. We developed concepts, designed, and animated a full spectrum of meditation loop videos to help recenter viewers as they re-entered the work week.

we’ll teach you how to be a jedi.

Star Wars and Headspace partnered to create canonical stories involving BB8 and Chewbacca. These kid-focused videos taught how to deal with anger, name your feelings, or solve emotional challenges faced daily when growing up.

Meister created over 20 minutes of content that you could watch on Youtube and on the Headspace app. Our work as part of the campaign later earned a Webby Nomination.

a subway takeover, up close and personal.

For Headspace’s Germany launch we developed digital out-of-home assets that focused on emotions in an unmissable way. We utilized full bleed colors and tight crops onto the faces of different emotions.

The overall effect created a gallery-like experience that washed over transit riders as they moved through the station. A giant happy face bouncing happily on subway monitors. A frustrated and furrowed brow along side waiting riders at a bus station. These bold compositions filled the city transit stations with energy and emotion during the campaign.
